The article entitled: Literary Beauties in the poetry of Habib Jalib (Dirasat Faniya) is a rhetorical study of Urdu poetry. The article is about the poetry of Habib Jalib. He was born in 1928 in India before partition of Sub-continent. He migrated from India to Pakistan with his forefathers. He settled in the city of Lahore (Pakistan). He died in 1993 and buried in the courtyard of Shah fareed in Lahore. He contributed in modern poetry of resistance in Urdu language. He also contributed to Urdu journalism. He played great role to inspire Muslim Community in Pakistan. He addressed Muslim community in a very impressive way using rhetorical elements regarding Elam-ul-Badee in his poetry like as Al- jannas, Al-Iqtibas, Raddu-ul- Ijaz, Al–qalab, alluzoom, Almuwazna , Almushaakala Etc. He uses a very simple words and rhetorical terminology to express his ideas. The article presents examples from his poetry to disclose the real situation of the people of that time in his Urdu poetry. The article discusses literary beauty of the poetry of Habib Jalib. The article also discusses the contribution of Habib Jalib towards modern Urdu Poetry. The article is a comprehensive study of the literary beauties described in the poetry of Habib Jalib regading Elam-ul-Badee. The article is a best collection of examples rhetorical elements regarding Elam-ul-Badee. Habib Jalib was known as a poet of resistance like as he resist against in Urdu poetry. He pointed out deficiencies of the rulers of that time in a very impressive way. The article would be very beneficent for the scholars of Arabic and Urdu Language & Literatures.
