Abstract

In interpretation of Qur'an, after the Sahaba, there is the rank of the Tabi'in and the Taba'i of the Tabi'in. These are the people in the Muslim Ummah through whom the scholarly and exegetical heritage of the Sahaba reached us. Despite the expansion, development and diversity of the commentary, its principles remained the same as those of the Sahaba, so like the Sahaba, there is great treasure of the exegesis of Qur'an by Qur'an in the exegetical literature. The common people could not understand the depth of its meanings. Therefore, Sahaba, trained by the Prophet (PBUH), and their followers who benefited from them, kept removing the ambiguities of the meanings of the Qur'an based on a specific basis, which has different sources, among which the most important source is exegesis of Qur'an by Qur'an.

The followers of the Qur'an adopted different styles and methods in the interpretation of the Qur'an, these styles included, meanings expressed from the context, the description of complication with other verses,  Returning the object to its original root , the appropriation of the general, clarification of the ambiguity, the explanation of the meaning of the words and the determination of the correct meaning from the customs of Qur'an are important. Through these methods, they interpreted the Qur'an. In this article these technics and methods of exegesis of Qur’an by Qur’an have been discussed.
