Abstract

 Translation is a laborious task and a formal art. Like all arts, it requires training and practice for mastery. From the market to the United Nations and from newspaper to film, translation work is found in one form or another.There are two major types of translation.

1. Machine translation ii.Creative translation

Lexicography is the practice of applied linguistics. In the past, combining words into dictionary order was a difficult task, collecting words into cards and arranging them alphabetically. With the help of computer this work has become very sky. This can be easily done with "Auto Alphabetical Sorting" software.

The connection between computers and linguistics gave rise to a separate field called machine or computational linguistics. It is one of the major contemporary branches of applied linguistics. In it, linguists try to solve linguistic problems with the help of computer science experts.

The scientific study of style is called stylistics. It is also called linguistic study and analysis of literature and stylistic criticism. Since in stylistics we discuss the practical problems of literature that is why stylistics is recognized as a branch of applied linguistics.
