Abstract

Hamid Yazdani is an important writer of contemporary Urdu Literature. He is a multi-dimensional writer. Basically he is poet, His four anthologies has been published. He writes columns for the famous Urdu website Humsub. He also writes short stories. His first collection of short stories has been published in 2022 titled “Khali Balti aur dosray afsany” from Sanjh publication Lahore. There is a great diversity and variety in the themes of his short stories. Hamid Yazdani not only made the internal and external problems of the human being the subject of his short stories, but also made important and delicate issues like political corruption, extremism, terrorism, sectarianism the subject of his fictions.
