In the historic city of Thatta in Sindh, more than one hundred thousand revered saints are buried. The Arabic language holds a preeminent status among the world's languages, serving as the repository not only for our intellectual legacy but also for encapsulating the historical narratives of our forebears. The Holy Quran, a guiding beacon for both this world and the hereafter, is also presented in Arabic. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of Islam is inconceivable without proficiency in the Arabic language. Notably, the people of Sindh play a distinctive role, as in the subcontinent, it was Sindh that Islam initially took root, leading the Islamic scholars in the region to undertake endeavors to learn and promote the Arabic language. Undertaking a specialized journey to the sacred land of Hijaz for knowledge acquisition, he returned to satiate the thirst for knowledge in Sindh. Persistently, he dedicated his pen to the service of the Arabic language. This article elucidates how Makhdoom Muhammad Hashim Thattvi's educational travels, teaching initiatives, and literary contributions underscore the significance of the Arabic language and delves into his multifaceted efforts for its promotion."
