##plugins.themes.academic_pro.article.main##
Abstract
Urdu language is proud that ghazal is one of its poetry genres, which has played a fundamental role in the evolution of Urdu language. The ghazal genre has been the favourite genre of poets in all eras. The evolutionary journey of Urdu ghazals spans nearly a thousand years. Thousands of poets embellished its fringes, nourished it with the utmost poetic passion, and made it worthy to be able to express all human themes and emotions in this rich way. Literary researchers, historians, and critics did not recognise the worth of hundreds of Urdu poets due to personal preference, prejudice, and the expedient oppression of their era, due to which the original work and quality of these poets could not be revealed. In this paper, these anonymous poets are briefly mentioned, which will help in understanding the intellectual stature and poetic value of the anonymous poets.
