Abstract

These are two main branches of biology. One is Flora and the other is Fauna. Flora is also number one among them. Flora refers to all the vegetation of a region. Flora includes all the flowers, frutis, plants, trees, grasses and vegetation of any region. Flora refers to all the plants that grow in a particular area, at a particular time and period and in a particular environment. Flora is the name given to the collective life of plants. Flora is called Botany in English and Nabataat in Urdu. Nabataat are those living organisms that do not move.

Flora is very important to have on this planet earth. We need it in many places. Its importance can only be judged by the fact that it maintains ecological balance. Animals cannot exist without flora. Both humans and animals depend on flora. Flora produces oxygen for us. Both humans and animals cannot survive without oxygen. It also provides food for both humans and animal. Medicines for humans are provided by flora. Medicines for humans are possible from flora. Flora is also useful to protect humans from both heat and cold. We can eat many fruits and vegetable directly. The rest we cook and eat. Flora provides the fuel for cooking. Flora it is impossible to imagine life without it.

Folk tales are part of oral tradition. These folk tales are passed down from generation to generation. They contain the realities of life in such a way that we consider it necessary to recognize them for the next generation. These folk tales are so full of content that we even protect them and passed on to the next generation by mixing up our own life stories and dressing them in new words. In this way, they are always faithful to the traditions of the past and they also have the skill to live in the present. In this analytical study, we have first searched for and separated the mention of flora in the folk tales. Tried to find out what the concept of flora is here by studying very deeply. In what sense flora is used and what is the importance of flora in these folk tales.

Nowadays our attitude is more scientific. In this article, a comparative study of the present-day scientific concept and the concept in folk tales has also been done. These tales are reminder of the time when science was not so advanced. But in this study, many aspects of the flora are also common to ancient and modern times and some new concept which are present in modern thought but not in folk tales. This analytical and comparative study will make it easier to understand the old and new ideas of thought and concept.
