Abstract

Islam is a complete universal religion and the foundation of Islam is the Holy Quran. According to the jurists of Islam, it is certain that the principles and rules are present in the Qur'an and the Sunnah, but the details are not in the Qur'an and the Sunnah. does.


In this research article, the literal and terminological definition of ijtihad, the arguments for the justification of ijtihad have been analyzed. The scope of ijtihad is wider than it is supposed. Likewise, the conditions of ijtihad and the basic conditions of mujtahid have been discussed. The importance and necessity of Ijtihad has been proved in this article. In order to do ijtihad, the mujtahid must be wise, mature and just. Ijtihad was also in the Prophet's era and Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) expressed his happiness on Mu'adh bin Jabal's title of mujtahid. The religion of Islam is the bearer of the knowledge of guiding the people until the doomsday, so the need for ijtihad will remain until the doomsday. This article includes the analysis of cases of Ijtihad Farz Mandatory, Ijtihad Mustahab, Ijtihad Makruh Prohibited.


And in the article, an attempt has been made to prove the necessity of ijtihad with rational and Qur'anic and Sunnah arguments.
