Abstract

Amrao Tariq is one of the most important contemporary fiction writers. He has written a total of nine books. He was awarded the Adamji Award by the Government of Pakistan for his first collection of fiction, "Badan Ke Tawaf". He has used the technique of flashback in a very beautiful way. His language and style are very simple. In his stories, story-telling, detailing and characterization are at the peak. He has shown the realities of life with simplicity of language and uniqueness of style through which life unfolds layer by layer. He has severely attacked the double standards of the society. He has not ignored the internal and external conditions of the characters as well as the psychological confusion. He has raised his voice against the oppression of women in his stories. He has pointed out not only political, social and religious issues but also highlighted the importance and usefulness of education. Among the main themes of his writings are feminism, partition of India, migration, murder, carnal lust, false testimony, injustice. terrorism, refugee issues and poverty.
