Abstract

Ghalib, Mirza Asadullah Khan(1797-1869) ,has been one of the great poets of Urdu and Persian. However he has rightly preferred  his Persian poetry which is a beautiful blend of art and thought .In his Persian poetry he has presented very beautiful as well as heart touching imagery with the use of personification and thus made the apprehension of abstract matters  easy for all .This article presents an analysis of Ghalib's imagery based on personification.
