physician and also wrote verses on medical science. He excelled in hymns, eulogy, psalm, panegyric, and ghazal

use of similes and metaphors are evident in his writings. He belonged to the Chishti family, and he is considered a
master of the Chishti literary traditions. The number of his disciples is remarkable. He had a natural poetic talent and
wrote poetry that is purely popular among people.
