Abstract
Sahibzada Ghulam Nizamuddin used to write poetry in both Urdu and Persian. He was associated with Khanqah Moazzamabad. He linked his poetic tradition with classicism and remained deeply immersed in the sea of love throughout his life. His poetry is a candid expression of his feelings and emotions. Instead of concealing his Love, he proudly acknowledges it. This is the quality of his poetry that distinguishes him from others. Though traditional themes are seen in his poetry but he presents them in a very captivating style. Sahibzada Nazimuddin's ghazal poetry is a true reflection of love, ecstasy, and his inner anguish and turmoil. His poetry shows the influence of Delhi's Dabistan. Nevertheless, Sahibzada Ghulam Nizamuddin is a prominent lyric poet of his tim but his poetry is also bound by the conventions of tradition.
