Abstract

Pir Naseer al-Din Naseer Gilani was a poet proficient in seven languages. He wrote in various forms of poetry, including eulogies, hymns, panegyrics, quatrains (Rubayat), and ghazals, earning great admiration in scholarly and literary circles. His primary focus was on ghazal poetry, characterized by classical traditions.He tested his skills among the masters of poetry, holding the most prominent position among the poets of Khanqah Golra Sharif. His verses have become proverbial in Sufi Chishtia circles.If Naseer Gilani hadn't been associated with Khanqah, he would have been among the leading ghazal poets of the contemporary era.
