Abstract

Qari Muhammad Idrees- Al-Asim is a well known contemporary religious scholar۔He is considered a multi dimensional personality۔As a teacher of tajweed O qiraat, writer, administrator and good preacher of Quran O Sunnah he did well in every walk of life with devotion and patience۔He was the student of Shaikh Qari Izhar Ahmad Al Thanvi۔He Acquired the basic knowledge of tajweed and Qiraat E Saba & Ashra from him۔After that he travelled to Islamic University of Madina Munawwara KSA for higher studies of tajweed O Qiraat۔He remained senior teacher of tajweed O qiraat, administrator and head teachers at Madrassa Al۔Alia Tajweed UL Quran shairanwala Gate Lahore for 47 years.During this period he wrote many books in the field of tajweed O qiraat.He also translated and explained the difficult books of tajweed O qiraat in Urdu language and made them easiest for those students of tajweed O qiraat who can’t understand the Arabic language well.After retuning back from Madina University in 1975 he served for tajweed O qiraat till the end of Life. This Paper is going to elaborate his efforts and services for tajweed O qiraat in Pakistan.
