Abstract

The journey of  Urdu ruba'i spans many centuries. Almost every classic has tried to write in this genre. Gulzar Bukhari is a well-known name among those who are writing  ruba’i in the present age. Gulzar  Bukhari has introduced the Ruba'i in a new harmony by presenting its traditional subjects and modern themes.His poetic consciousness is formed by the combination of contemporary awareness  and sensitivity . His first book ‘‘ہوا پتے گرائے گی ’’  has published in 2013 which consists of   66 ghazals and 37 poems. His unpublished work also contains a large number of  Hamds and Rubai’s, so that a separate collection of  these Ruba’i can be formed.
