Abstract

Anees Nagi a Pakistani poet, critic and novelist. Anees Nagi was family name Yakoob Ali Nagi and pen name Anees Nagi. He was born on 10 September in Sheikhupura. Performed teaching duties in  overnment College Lahore and Government College Faisalabad. He was also a former bureaucrat. Worked especially in relation to Afghan refugees. Anis Nagi wrote more than fifty books. He had a good friendship with Munir Niazi. Apart from this, he has done numerous works on famous Urdu fiction writer Minto. Among his novels, the most important novels are "Zawaal", "Putlian", "Deewar kay Peechay" and "Jins Aur wajood". Anees Nagi also worked in criticism and wrote poems. He also wrote his autobiography titled "Ek Adhoori Sarguzishit". Apart from this, he was also the editor of the magazine "Ravi" of Government College University Lahore. Anis Nagi's positions and dimensions as a poet, novelist, fiction writer and translator are very reliable, but his criticism as a critic was very unique.
