Abstract

Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Ahmed Faraz are among the prominent poets of progressive thought. Their poems are full of social problems and sorrows. They have a combination of romance, politics, and revolution. Faiz and Faraz moved from the blur of romance to social issues and progressive realism. They have raised their voices against oppression, injustice and imperialism. They call the era of slavery an era of imprisonment, enchainment and coercion and deprivation. They have lit the lamp of determination, hope and encouragement in the darkness of depression, humiliation and despair. Their poetry is full of hatred against hunger, disease, poverty, famine, labor, peasantry, destruction, unemployment, ignorance and class system. Some of style of Faiz and Faraz's Poems are similar to those of romantic poets. The effects of Faiz on Ahmed Faraz are noticeable. Many of Faraz's poems are similar to those of Faiz. Perhaps he kept in mind the same background and circumstances that Faiz was facing. Faraz is very similar to Faiz on the intellectual level. Faraz has recited several poems in the style of Faiz. Many of his poems intellectually and phasis commonness to Faiz's poems. Faiz's Style and diction can be seen in most of Faraz's poems.
