Abstract

Amjad Islam Amjad was a popular and versatile poet. He stepped into the genre of Urdu Poetry in 1974 through his poetic collection "Barzakh". He presented a number of poetic collections to Urdu Literature. He was basically a poet of free verse in Urdu but was equally successful in Urdu ghazals. His poetic collection "Yahin Kahin" was published in 2006. His poetry carries a wide range of topics. Love, separation, fate, nature, sympathies for humanity and evenings that breathe in the past when accompanies his unique poetic style, enhances the beauty of his poetry. This article is written to commemorate him. His collection "Yahin Kahin" has been analysed in the light of his unique poetic style.
