Abstract

The existence of progressive criticism actually came into existence in return of  the progressive movement. The goal of the progressive movement was to connect literature with life. The need for progressive criticism was felt with the emergence of progressive literature. The authors'  aim was to discuss the poor people and their problems. Progressive literature talks about social injustices and social attitudes beyond love and romanticism. Progressive critics also criticize literature according karl Marx rules. In this paper we will critically examine the criticisms of the main progressive critics.
