Abstract

Michel Foucault is one of the most influencial thinkers of the twentieth century. His ideas and system of thoughts affected the continental philosophy, and changed the course of discourse analysis in social sciences and literature. As far as Urdu literature is concerned, the trend of reading and analyzing the literary texts with philosophical & theoratical perspective is queit popular now a days, thus one cannot ignore or overlook Foucault's work in the light of modern thinking. This article tends to study the life of Michel Foucault and discuss his books' theses along with the contemporary scenario of his era; so that Foucauldian intellectualism could be highlighted
