Abstract
Mukhtar Masood offered his services in senior government positions in Pakistan for almost forty years, while maintaining his connection with literature. He authored six books in which "Awaaz-e-Dost," introduced him as a unique and eloquent prose writer, often compared to literary giants like Maulana Muhammad Hussain Azad and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. His writings draw inspiration from Islam, Aligarh and Pakistan. The title "Awaz-i Dost" is borrowed from a Persian poem and reflects the fact that whether the beloved is real or virtual, Laila or Watan, his voice always reaches the lover and the lover is surprised by it. This research article provides a brief introduction of "Awaaz-e-Dost” and covers its features through examples.
