Abstract

The Ascension of the Prophet represents a great event in the history of the Islamic message and is one of the most prominent miracles that God bestowed on the Prophet Muhammad. According to the message of Al-Khulood, the effect of al-Miraj can be analyzed from several aspects. This event confirms that the message brought by the Prophet is not confined to the earth or material things, rather it is an eternal message that has a spiritual extension that crosses the boundaries of time and space, and is connected to what is eternal and everlasting. Ascension reflects the strong relationship between Allah and His Messenger, where the Prophet (peace be upon him) ascended to the heavens and crossed the Hijab to meet Allah. This honors the idea that the Islamic message aims to build a direct relationship between man and his creator, a relationship based on monotheism and continuous spiritual contact. This relationship is the key to al-Khalud in Islam, where it is believed that the soul is immortal and returns to its creator. Al-Mu'raj gives rise to belief in the unseen, which is one of the pillars of Islamic faith. As the events of Al-Meeraj go beyond the scope of the human experience, which pushes Muslims to believe beyond the perception of the senses. This belief in the unseen opens the chapter of meditation on the afterlife and immortality after death, and promotes the understanding of worldly life as part of a wider path that includes eternal life. In al-Miraj, the Prophet ﷺ crossed the boundaries of time and space, which shows that the Islamic message seeks to liberate human beings from the constraints of this world and towards the Hereafter and eternity. This trip is a symbolic representation of spiritual and moral perfection, which is the basis for achieving the hereafter.

Through al-Miraj, the Prophet (peace be upon him) quoted many details about paradise and hell, what is appreciated in the souls of Muslims is a clear vision of the hereafter. This vision gives the worldly life a deeper meaning and makes the pursuit of the hereafter an essential part of the Islamic faith. In the Ascension, prayer is obligatory on Muslims, which shows the importance of prayer as a link between man and the Creator, and the importance of this action in the pursuit of perfection. The prayer, which you perform during this event, is considered as a means of daily spiritual communication with Allah, and to confirm that continuous worship is the way to immortality in the Hereafter. Through this event, Muslims are reminded that the Hereafter is the ultimate goal, and that the pursuit of God and adherence to the teachings of Islam represent the way to achieve eternal immortality.
