Abstract

This article provides a brief overview of the literary contributions of Insha Allah Khan Insha, focusing on his prose works. After the death of his father in 1215 AH, Insha became associated with the court of Saadat Ali Khan, where he wrote notable works such as “Darya-e-Latafat”, “Rani Ketki Ki Kahani”, and “Turki Roznamcha”. Insha's literary prowess, particularly in the field of Urdu prose, is highlighted, emphasizing his role in shaping the language's grammar and style. The article argues that his creativity and poetic experience played a key role in his contributions to Urdu literature, challenging critical dismissals of his work. It also reflects on how Insha's scholarly approach led to significant linguistic and literary achievements, including the international recognition of Urdu.
