Abstract

An important name in modern Urdu poetry is Iftikhar Arif. He is a realist,he does not hesitate to express anything his duty of classical poetry is very in depth. The old vocabulary has been described as if it has created a new meaning and significance. The footsteps are very wide. Iftikhar Arif gives an impression in his poetry that shakes the readers. Due to this his poetry take four months. He has not only expended the symbol, exaggeration, metaphors and allusion, but has also presented contemporary issues in his poetry. This is the greatest sorrow of industrial society.
