Abstract

Qurratulain Haider (20 January 1927 – 21 August 2007) was an Indian Urdu novelist and short story writer, an academic, and a journalist. Her literary works include some 12 novels and novellas and four collections of short stories. She presents in her novels economic concepts regarding the economic changes that have taken place in subcontinent after the First World War.She reflects the eroded civilization of Oudh, and economic perceptions of class struggle.This article presented the economical condition in her novels ‛Mery bhi Sanam Khanay‚and ‛Aag ka Dariya‚.
