Prof. Jilani Kamran (1926 - 2003) was a prominent Urdu poet, researcher, critic. Poets adopted different genres of speech to express their views, of which modern poetry is very important. Long poems have a unique place in many types of modern poetry. The tradition of a book poem in Urdu literature is very old. In a book poem, a long poem would be written under the same title on a particular subject. "Naqsh-e-Kaf-e-Pa" is a long poem by Jilani Kamran. This article presents a research and critical overview of this poem.
