Abstract

This article pertains to the Thematic studies of Abdul Aziz Khalid,squatrains.Abdul Aziz Khalid is one of the most renowned Pakistai poets of Urdu literature.He adorned his poetry bouquet with multiple languages such as Arabic, Persian, Turkish,Hindi and Hebrew.He wrote almost forty books on different types of literature especially on Hamd,Naat,Ghazal,Poem, Quatrains, Translation and criticism.His book Lahun e Sareer is especially on Quatrains which has313 Quatrains with reference to BadriSahabah.Quatarin is short but intericate type of poetry.especially measure Hazaj(Behr e Hazaj) consider d to be more tough and difficult.So this type of poetry is not abundantly found.Almost all the renowned poets have written a few Rubaies.Khalid,s quatrains have the subjects of Hamd o Naat, philosophy, knowledge wisdom, advice for rectification of society, ethics and character and mysticism.It will not be incorrect or exaggeration to say that the abstract of his poetical ideas and imagination is found in the farm of quatrains in Lehun e Sareer.It is undoubtedly a precious addition to Urdu quatrains.
