Abstract

Letters are the valuable source of research while compiling life because history and sketching personality of a writer they are the true reflection of ones thinking pattern and of a biographical information as well,Dagh was an outstanding poet of nineteenth century who wrote romantic and senuous poetry and gave a great emphysis to Urdu idiom and its usage.He wrote many letters to nawabs,his disciples and friends which are very rich of biographical information.Dagh also wrote some letters to the courtesans of that times without hiding his inner feelings so they present his amative nature.This article is a research based study of his letters as a vital source of Daghs  biographical information and personality analysis as well.
