Abstract

Punjabi sufi poet Shah Hussain is considered the second classical poet who gave rebirth to Punjabi poetry by continuing the legacy of Baba Farid. He was the founder and first poet of “Kafi”. This article through light on the articles of different writers published in the “Khoj” in which the life, work, philosophy, culture and prevailing situation of the region with historical background has been illustrated. These writers have discussed different religious, social, cultural and political aspects of Shah Hussain’s philosophy. This is also a study of Shah Hussain’s poetic work to understand his message. These articles are just glimpses of the life and literary work of Shah Hussain the great Punjabi Sofi Poet.
