TRADITION OF FICTION WRITING IN FAISALABAD

Abstract

Faisalabad is an Industrial city. It has a literary background too. Its Literary status in the country has been
recognized as a Literary center where all geners of Literature are progressing . They include Naat Sharif, Ghazal,
Fiction , Drama and Travelogue. The writers of Faisalabad have made their own identity in the Literary circles of
the Country. The tradition of Urdu Short story writing is very strong and established in Faisalabad. So many
short story and fiction writers of Faisalabad have got world repute and international fame. The short stories written
at Faisalabad have a strong social, economic and cultural background. They represent every day life . The readers
got literary and spiritual enlightenment . These short stories are not only introvert but also extrovert. They show the
self assesment and self evaluation. The people who read these short stories take themselves in to account and
develop their personality. These short stories help us in making better understanding of life.
