Abstract

The influence of regional culture is significant in "Qarat-ul-Ain Haider’s novel “Aag ka daryaa ". Qarat-ul-Ain Haider is a trustworthy and an epoc making figure in respect to Urdu novels. She had a keen eye on the changes that took place in the regional cultures with the arrival of different nations in the subcontinent. Qarat-ul-Ain was a lover of the multi-colored, multidimensional civilization that was born in the subcontinent due to the fusions of different cultures. Her novels beautifully depict all the regional cultures and languages ​​of North India. In a way, her novels are also a lament for the obliterating civilization of subcontinent.Novel being the greatest genre of Urdu language has a greater capacity of linguistic content and cultural commentary than other genres of Urdu language. There we can maintain that Pakistani urdu Novel has the impact of regional culture.
