Abstract

Culture plays pivotal role in any society without the presence of strong culture society can not
nourish. The customs and traditions of any society are it's enlivening force. In the times of
Colonialism and even in Post Colonial era the culture of Sub Continent suffered immensely. This
research article is an endeavor to bring forth the counter narrative efforts to highlight the local
culture in Urdu short story.
