THE ROLE OF KHAYABAN MAGAZINE IN THE PROMOTION OF LITERATURE IN KHYBERPAKHTUNKHWA

Abstract

 The role of literary magazines is undeniable in the propagation and development of Urdu literature. Khayaban
magazine in this regard is playing a pivotal role in the evolution of Urdu literature.This magazine is unique in its
eloquent and simple language. In fact, it represents the sentiments and thoughts of general masses as it consists
of thought provoking activities and opinion essays of seasoned writers. It not only addresses and analyses social
vices but also sets forth their possible solution. “Khayaban”, most importantly, is playing conducive role in the
field of research for Urdu literature aspirants.In a nutshell, „Khayaban‟ magazine represents the new generation
in true essence.
