Abstract

Nazir Tabassum is a representative of the modern era of Dabistan-e-Peshawar. The influence of his poetry is felt on almost all poets of Dabistan-e-peshawar. Tum udaas mat hona and Abhi musam nahi badla are his poetry collections. His poetry comprise of his emotions, observations, experience and feelings with all its references. He knows how to use his thoughts and emotions. He seems to be a seekers of beauty and elegance in his poetry. The combination of poetic aesthetics modern awareness is hallmark of his poetry. His ghazals are best and most captivating ghazals of the present moment. Nazir Tabassum is a follower of traditions but he presents modern trends in his poetry while remaining in this tradition.
