Abstract

Ahmad Fraz is well known  personality of Urdu litrature. He was famous as a poet translator, Journalist, script writter,and director. He wa elected head of the ``Acedmy of litrature`` in 1976. He was associated with ``Iqbal Acedmy``  from 1980 to 1990 as the director general. He was  the editor of the monthly magzine ``Ishtiqaq`` and the weekly ``Khadim``. Ahmad Fraz Wrote thirteen collections of poetry the names of which are follows:

``Tanha-Tanha``, ``Dard e ashob``, `` Nayaft``, ``Shab e Khoon``,  `` Mere khawab rezah rezah``, `` Jana Jana``,

``Be-Awaz Gali Kuchon Mein``, `` Sab Awazen Meri Hain``,  `` Nabina Shair Mein Aaina``,`` Pas e andaz e Mossom``,  ``Khawab e gull preshan he``,`` Ghazal Bahana Karon``, `` Bodlik (Drama)  and collection poetry book.`` Shaher sukhan mein arasta``. He was attatched with `` Taraqi pasand actuation. His poetry gives the message of humanity and against the cruelty. He got ``Nobel Prize`` in 1966 on his poetry book, ``dard e ashob``.
