Abstract

Literary journals are examples of the creative journey of their time. Literary journals in Urdu language began to be published in the nineteenth century AD. In the twentieth century, innumerable literary journals became prominent and closed. Although the number of long-lived Urdu literary magazines is not high .Magazines have been instrumental in the development of short fiction around the world. If the magazine is being printed with restrictions, it needs short articles. This thing promoted fiction. Seen in this context, "Saqi" plays a significant role in the development of Urdu fiction. Although Maulana Salahuddin Ahmed was a relatively big critic of fiction.
