Abstract

Aslam Farrukhi is a famous sketch writer of the era. He has written nine Urdu sketch books namely “nizam e rang”, “Guldasta e ahbab”, “Daabistan e nizam”, “Angan mein sitare”, “Laal sabz kabutron ki chatri”, “mosam e bahar jesy log”, “Nigaristan e azad”, “saat asman”, “Ronak e bazm e jahan”. There are three categories of his sketches, about friends, literary people’s sketches and historical personality’s sketches. He has written all sketches with a unique style. His sketches has a clear impact of native languages. This research paper deals with the style of Aslam Farrukh's sketches to know how he has portrayed the different personalities in his writings.
