Abstract

There are different religions exist in the world. Religions of the world can be categorized into Semitic religions and non- semitic religions. The term Semitic religions most commonly refers to the Abrahamic religions, including Islam, Christianity and Judaism. Non- semitic religions can be referred as Sikhism, Hinduism, Brahminism, Buddhism, Jainism, etc. All these religions, whether semitic or non-semitic have their holy ones which may include their holy places, holy books, holy festivals, worships, sacred personalities. Followers of that religion have heartfelt commitment with their religious holy ones. So, to bring peace and harmony in society, it is very necessary for every person of society that he should respect the holy ones of not only his religion but also other religions. As Islam is religion of peace and tolerance so Islam is emphasizes to respect the holy ones of all religions to bring peace and avoid violence in society.
