METHOD OF IMAM AL-TABARANI IN DEFECTIVE OF HADITH IN HISBOOK AL-MU’JAM AL-AWSAT, AN APPLIED STUDY

Abstract

The science of hadith is one of the best sciences that preserved the heritage of the Islamic religion. It
includes many types, and the most important of these types is the science of Ilal ul hadith, as Al-Khatib alBaghdadi said, "knowing the ilal ul hadith is the best kind of hadith science"because one of the conditions
for the authenticity of the hadith is the absence of its ills. The science of the causes of hadith is accurate
and difficult to obtain.
Because of the importance of this science and its great benefit, scholars have been interested in
classification and authorship in it. Among these scholars is Suleiman bin Ahmad al-Tabarani, who wrote a
large book and collected in it about every sheikh with his oddities and wonders. And Imam al-Tabarani
defected the hadiths of his book either by Ta’farrud, which is the dominant feature in this book, or by
difference, which is less than justification by Ta’farrud, or he remained silent about ruling on it and it is
justified either by Ta’farrud or by difference, or it may be correct.
In this article, I tried to present to the reader the applied study of the method of Imam -Al-Tabarani in
defective of the hadith in his book “Al Mu’jam Al-Awsat”, which is one of the important sources in this
field.
