Abstract

In January, 1938 monthly ساقی (دہلی) issued its sixth anniversary as “Japan number”. Shahid Ahmad Dehlwi (شاہد احمد دہلوی), editor of monthly ماہنامہ ساقی (دہلی) declared that this specific number is compiled by Professor Noor Al Hassan Barlas (پروفیسر نور الحسن برلاس), an Indian guest teacher of "School of Foreign Languages ", Tokyo (مدرسہ السنہ غیر ، توکیو). This volume consist almost 30 articles, some poems and pictures. Urdu translation of Japanese poems is also presented. Here we are going to brief study of these articles and poems. In this brief study we can learn about industrial development, Journalism, educational system, traditions and literature of Japan in 20s century.
