Abstract

When Urdu poetry passes through the classical era and enters the era of Sir Syed, the time is demanding
changes at the thematic level. For some time, new topics were tried to be used in Urdu poetry, but these
new topics were also demanding some new forms. It was in this context that modern Urdu poetry began.
This transformation of practice addressed the psychology of modern man. Modern Urdu Poetry has got
three big names (NM Rashid, Meera Ji and Majeed Amjad) from the very beginning. As the beginning of
modern Urdu poetry was its height, Meera ji was unique both physically and imaginatively in that he made
the subject of existential anguish as well as the psychology of the new man. Meera Ji's own personality is a
metaphor for his creative universe. His unconscious states are discovering a new place of meaning. He
seem to embody everything in the world of imagination. He has a profound effect on Indian mythology and
Hindu mythology. He look for angles to satisfy their sexual urges. Because the influence of Western
literature and especially of French poets is also found to some extent. This article is written in the light of
the above points, so that Meera Ji's poetry can be examined in the context of his personal interests.
