Abstract

Sarwat Mohiuddin was born in a well read family. She is married to Zia Mohiuddin. She was a multi-dimensional personality with regards to Urdu and Punjabi literature. Apart from being poets, she has also achieve special distinction in Urdu prose especially in travelogue writing. Her travelogue “Raat  Ki   Dhoop” is known for its unique literacy style. Four poetic works of Punjabi have been published to her name. She is known for her research on mystical poetry of Punjabi mystic poets. she had deliverd lectured in many universities worldwide on the topic and has been instrumental in introducing this unique dimension of Punjabi Sufi Poetry to the world.
