Abstract
The Study of Remote, writers of Urdu Humor Columns is actually a few pennames that were traced down to the real authors, we know now, for example, that Zafar Ali Khan wrote the comic columns published in Zamindar under the title Fukhahaat, though it carried the penname of Naqqaash, afterward Chiragh Hassan Hasrat wrote Fukahaaat in Zamindar. During Zamindar’s final years, Abdul Majeed Salik wrote Afkar-o-Hawadis in it and later wrote the same column in Inqelaab. Before him Ghulam Rasool Mehr in it and later wrote the same column in Inqelaab, Another humorist and journalist wrote his column in Zamindar. Zamindar has not only the greatness of introducing humor column to Urdu Journalism but it also played a major role in caring forward the tradition and popularizing it and the are many other whose names can’t be mentioned here for shortage of space. But there literary services will be remembered forever.
