Abstract

The heartfelt and emotional attachment of the People of Pakistan with ‘Asakar Pakistan’ is not secret for anyone.The people living in the country love those who protect the geographical and ideological borders of their country.Every patriotic Pakistani has a strong desire to know about the day and night of his forces, the way of life, training and their life-style on the battlefield.The best way to fulfill this desire is the autobiographies of ‘Asaker-e-Pakistan’.‘Asaker-e- Pakistan’ have many autobiographies that have their own distinct style of writing.Many military biographers have used the tactic of humor to make their writings attractive and  pleasant. Col.Muhammad Khan, Brigadier Siddique Salik, Major Syed Zameer Jafri, Col. Ashfaq Hussain, Brigadier Saulat Raza, and Col. Asad Mahmmood Khan are prominent among the writers.This article deals with the style and discuss the elements of humor in the above mentioned autobiographies.
