Allama Iqbal is regarded as one of the most important poets in the history of Urdu literature, particularly in the field of Islamic poetry. Compared with other Islamic poets of Urdu, the influence of the Holy Quran is especially prominent in Iqbal’s poetry. An examination of the intellectual sources that shaped Iqbal’s life shows that he made the Quran a central source of guidance and inspiration. He was deeply aware of the significance and greatness of the Quran. This article critically examines the influence of Quranic teachings, concepts, and ideas on the poetry and intellectual thought of Allama Iqbal.
