THE USE OF DISCOURSE ANALYSIS AND DISCURSIVE PSYCHOLOGY FOR DEVELOPMENT AWARENESS AMONG MASSES

Abstract

The present study conducts a multi-faceted discourse analysis of the logos of Pakistani TV channels' comic talk shows in terms of their ideology and image meaning. Analyzing multimodal discourse using social semiotics as a method leads to the analysis of multi-layered meanings in a discourse. . The results of the study show that these logos create multifaceted discourse through distinctive language and imagery, and ideally use their power and mainstream ideology of TV channels in Pakistan
