Abstract

                    Ode in Urdu is superior to the other kinds of poetry due to its popularity, writing modes and structure. From Ameer Khusru to the present day, after carving the exhilaration and merriment with different colors, tastes and states, the ode in Urdu has adopted the most updated version of itself. The features of description also foreshadow their exquisiteness through their beauty and attractiveness. From Wali Dakni to the present era, pen names are used in the last couplets according to the various interpretations. The vast fullness of the levels of meanings has bestowed a trust to the ode along with somewhat transformation and addition in the usage of pen names by every poet.  The multiple meanings of every pen name are impressive according to its meanings and its level of meditation. Generally, the usage of pen names is unconscious, however, on certain occasions the conscious use of pen names has been a cause to develop the meditative aspect and the modality of meanings due to which the worth of the ode has been increased.
