Abstract

In the history of urdu poetry Nazar Muhammad Rashid (Noon-Meem-Rashid) cannot be forgotton for his contribution. He was among those poets which promoted free verse (Azad Nazm). He has great sense of poetic horizon. In his poetry, he has a great deal of metaphor structure. This article throw light on the metaphor usage in the poems of Rashid; especially Fire (Aag) as a metaphor for different phrases. This article will help the students of literature to understand Rashid’s poetry.
