Abstract

Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi is one of the famous and top writers of Urdu literature. He was an excellent poet, fiction writer, columnist and a reliable critic at the same time. Nature had blessed him with creative and critical talents with great equanimity and generosity. Be it poetry or fiction, he was not an artist content with limited and specific themes. They have all the colors of life with all their gaieties and sparkles. Urdu prose and poetry, his art and thought and creative excellence are favored. Most of the critics and analysts have focused their eyes on the villages and rural problems in his short stories, but in his fictions, the chaotic environment of the cities, hypocritical behavior, materialism, hypocrisy in love, misanthropy, sexual immorality, bribery, violation of the sanctity of relationships, fashionism, alcoholism, corruption and misdeeds.Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi's pen was not limited to rural life and rural characters, but his sensitive nature and creative mind also influenced by the city life. In the city, where they find artificiality, fabrication, hypocrisy, unnecessary appearance and display, stench behind clean faces, wounded souls under silk clothes, materialism, deceit and deception in the name of friendship, love and relationships, and especially of man and humanity. In this research article, the above-mentioned points are discussed with relevant examples.
