Abstract

Dr. Akhtar Shumar was originally from Multan. But for a long time he was part of lahore's academic and literary activities. He also wrote beautiful poetry. He also wrote plays for radio and television, he was also the secretary of "Halqa Arbab e  Zauq". Akhtar Shumar also wrote scholarly, literary and research columns in various magazines and newspapers. Their columns are very broad in terms of topics. His literary columns cover various writers and new trends in literature. His columns show glimpses of contemporary times.
